Feeling overwhelmed?
When everything feels like too much, begin with one small pause. Open Make Room below, or choose a reflection that fits what you need.
“You don’t have to make it sound better than it is. Start with what’s true.”
What can I do when I feel overwhelmed?
You do not have to resolve every demand before choosing a next step. Use this short reflection to make the moment more specific:
- Notice where you are. Put your feet on the floor if that is comfortable. Name a few things you can see and hear. The Make Room tool offers a grounding prompt you can follow at your own pace.
- Name what feels loudest. Write one sentence: “Right now, I am carrying…” Separate the actual demand from what you fear might happen.
- Choose what needs attention. Ask: What is within my control today? What can wait? What needs someone else’s help?
- Make one move. Pick a specific, manageable action: clarify a deadline, ask for support, step away briefly, or decide what to address first.
Choose a tool for this moment.
Use Make Room for grounding, gentle breathing, a quiet timer, or writing. Use Examine Your Cup to name the feelings and demands you are carrying. Use Align & Act when you are ready to choose a next step. You can stop or switch tools whenever you need to.
When reflection is not enough.
This hub offers coaching reflections, not a diagnosis or treatment. If stress keeps interfering with daily life, consider talking with a qualified health professional. You can also choose a trusted person and tell them specifically what support would help.
